Our project, Wonders in Education, emerged from a profound realization that the preciousness of time was forever fleeting. As dedicated full-time teachers, our constant yearning for more time to spend with family, travel, play with our pets, and craft exceptional lessons fueled the inception of this initiative. It dawned on us that while time may be elusive to obtain for ourselves, the power to gift it to others was within reach. Inspired by the ancient Egyptian tale of Thoth, the god of the moon and keeper of knowledge, who sought and won extra days to bestow upon the sky goddess Nut, we embarked on this journey.
Much like the goddess Seshat (Thoth’s counterpart) we are committed to the dedication of language, writing, and the intricate art of crafting knowledge that resonates deeply within each student. Seshat’s headdress occasionally reveals a seven-pointed star emerging from its apex. As teachers, we must consistently be adaptable, engaging, empathetic, provide clarity, provide feedback, make room for curiosity, and be flexible.

Mirroring Thoth’s extension of time, we aim to provide educators with extra time through our low-prep and no-prep PowerPoint lessons, coordinating worksheets, and interactive games and quizzes. In the spirit of Thoth’s wisdom and Seshat’s insight, we endeavor to be the bestowers of an educational gift, providing teachers with those extra moments they crave for personal pursuits.
